Cookie Policy

English translation provided for convenience. The French version is legally binding and prevails.

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file placed on the user's device (computer, smartphone, tablet) when visiting a website.
It stores information relating to browsing in order to make the site easier to use, improve how it works or measure its audience.

Cookies do not, in themselves, allow a user to be identified directly, but rather allow a device or a browser to be recognised.

2. Who places cookies on this site?

Cookies may be placed by:

  • Prosperian (internal cookies necessary for the operation of the site);
  • third parties (analytics tools, marketing services, integrated services), acting as processors or independent controllers.

3. What types of cookies do we use?

3.1 Strictly necessary cookies (mandatory)

These cookies are essential to the proper functioning of the site.
They notably enable:

  • the correct display of the site;
  • the management of consent preferences;
  • the security of the site.

These cookies do not require your consent.

Examples:

  • technical cookies related to the hosting of the site (Vercel);
  • cookies managing the cookie banner;
  • _psp_tid: an internal identifier set when you enter your website address in the activation form. It is used solely to prevent the same request being recorded more than once. It contains no personal data, cannot be read by a script and is never used for advertising purposes. Duration: 30 days;
  • _psp_lead: a temporary cookie set when you confirm your details, in order to pass your request to the application. It contains neither your name nor your email address. Duration: 30 minutes.

3.2 Audience measurement cookies (subject to consent)

These cookies make it possible to measure the site's audience and to analyse how users interact with the pages (pages visited, visit duration, referral source, browsing).

They help us improve performance and the user experience.

Tools used:

  • DataFast (audience measurement, hosted in the European Union)
  • PostHog (journey analysis, hosted in the European Union)

These cookies are only placed after your consent.

3.3 Marketing and tracking cookies (subject to consent)

These cookies may be used to:

  • analyse the user journey;
  • measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns;
  • offer personalised content or targeted messages.

Possible tools (depending on configuration):

  • Meta (Facebook / Instagram)
  • Google Ads
  • LinkedIn Ads

These cookies are only placed after your explicit consent.

3.4 Affiliate cookie (Affonso)

Prosperian runs a partner programme: partners recommend Prosperian and are paid when the people they refer take out a subscription. This programme relies on the Affonso tool.

When you arrive on the site by following a partner's link, the affonso_referral cookie is placed on the prosperian.co domain, so it can be read both by the website and by the platform (app.prosperian.co). It contains a click identifier and is used solely to attribute your sign-up and your subscription to the partner who referred you, in order to calculate their commission. It lasts 30 days.

Depending on the partner's programme, a second cookie, affonso_data, may be placed on the same domain for the same duration: it holds information attached to the partner's link (for example a discount the partner offers). The click identifier may also be added to the page address (affonso_id parameter).

These cookies are placed as soon as you arrive through the partner's link, without going through the consent banner. If you create an account, the click identifier is kept on your organisation to make this attribution possible.

You can delete them at any time from your browser settings (see section 6).

3.5 Identifying visiting companies (Snitcher)

Prosperian uses Snitcher, published by Snitcher B.V. (Netherlands), to identify and prospect the companies interested in its services. Snitcher processes your IP address to determine the company it belongs to, along with browsing data (full address of the pages viewed, campaign parameters included, referring page, time spent on the site), technical characteristics of your browser and device, and, if you type an email address into a form, only its domain name (the part after "@"). Form contents and your clicks are not sent to it. This data is aggregated at company level: Prosperian sees which companies visited the site and what they looked at, not your IP address. It is hosted in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany).

To tell visitors apart, Snitcher places the snitcher_device_id cookie on the prosperian.co domain (so it can also be read by the platform, app.prosperian.co), a random identifier that contains neither your name nor your email address (duration: 1 year), and keeps this identifier and a session identifier (snitcher_session, 30 minutes after the last activity) in your browser's storage. To pick the right domain, it places and immediately deletes an empty technical cookie, __sn_tld_probe.

Prosperian bases this processing on its legitimate interest in identifying and prospecting the companies interested in its services: Snitcher is loaded without going through the consent banner. To stop being tracked, you can block scripts from snitcher.com in your browser, for example with a tracker blocker, and delete the snitcher_device_id cookie (see section 6); you can also exercise your right to object by writing to contact@prosperian.co.

4. Cookie retention period

The retention period of cookies depends on their nature:

  • strictly necessary cookies: limited to the session or a few months maximum (30 minutes for _psp_lead, 30 days for _psp_tid);
  • audience measurement and marketing cookies: maximum duration of 13 months, in accordance with the CNIL's recommendations;
  • affiliate cookie affonso_referral: 30 days;
  • affiliate cookie affonso_data: 30 days;
  • snitcher_device_id cookie (Snitcher): 1 year; Snitcher session identifier kept in the browser: 30 minutes after the last activity.

Your choice (acceptance or refusal of cookies) is kept for a maximum period of 6 months.

5. Managing consent

On your first visit to the site, a cookie banner allows you to:

  • accept all cookies;
  • refuse all non-essential cookies;
  • configure your choices by category.

You may change or withdraw your consent at any time via the "Cookies" link available at the bottom of the page (footer).

The banner does not apply to the affiliate cookie (section 3.4) or to Snitcher (section 3.5), which rely on Prosperian's legitimate interest: to stop being tracked by Snitcher, block scripts from snitcher.com in your browser (section 6) or write to contact@prosperian.co.

6. How to disable cookies via your browser?

You can configure your browser to refuse all or part of the cookies.
Please note: refusing certain cookies may impair the functioning of the site.

To stop being tracked by Snitcher (section 3.5), also block scripts from snitcher.com, using your browser's tracking protection or an anti-tracker extension, then delete the snitcher_device_id cookie.

Some advertising tools, in particular Meta, Google Ads and LinkedIn Ads, involve transfers of data outside the European Union.
These transfers are governed by appropriate safeguards (standard contractual clauses, adequacy decisions or equivalent mechanisms).

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights:

  • right of access;
  • right to rectification;
  • right to erasure;
  • right to object;
